When AI recommends installers, be one of them.

Homeowners now ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI who to call. Being one of the businesses mentioned is earned, not bought.

Homeowners are asking AI who to call. Is it you?

ChatGPTGoogle AIGeminiPerplexity

Open ChatGPT and ask who installs solar panels in your area. It names 3 or 4 businesses and the homeowner rings one of them.

Showing up in those answers isn't luck. It's a specific, fixable job that almost no Irish installer is working on yet. The early movers will own it.

Part of Local SEO

Your Google profile and your reviews

AI reads the same profile a homeowner does. Your categories, the areas you cover, your rating and, more than anything, what the reviews actually say. An installer with ninety reviews that mention your service area and the SEAI grant gets described very differently to one with six reviews and no detail in them.

  • Profile filled out properly for every service you offer
  • The towns you cover named, not left to guesswork
  • The number of reviews, and what gets mentioned in them
  • Questions on your profile answered in your own words

Content that answers the question

AI tools build their answers out of pages that get to the point. Say what a system costs, what the grant covers and how long the job takes, in the words a homeowner would use, and that line can be lifted straight into an answer.

  • The questions homeowners actually ask, answered on the page
  • Headings that match the question being asked
  • Prices, timelines and grant detail written out
  • Written for a person, and readable by a machine

Mentions on high authority sites in your industry

AI tools trust established sites a lot more than they trust your own. Getting listed, reviewed and written about on the Irish sites that already carry weight is what moves you from a business with a website to a business an answer is confident enough to name.

  • Listed in the Irish directories that actually get read
  • Mentioned in local and trade coverage
  • The same business name and contact details everywhere
  • Links that come from real coverage, not link swaps

A website AI can understand

If your site does not state clearly who you are, what you do and where you do it, nothing downstream works. Clean structure, proper schema and pages that name the towns you cover.

  • Your business described in structured data
  • A page for each service you offer
  • The areas you cover named on the site
  • Nothing important hidden behind scripts or pop-ups

Questions installers ask

AI search, straight answers.

Can I buy AI search optimisation as a service on its own?
No, and we would not sell it that way. Getting named in AI answers is what falls out of a blended search approach done properly: your local SEO, your content and your mentions all pulling in the same direction. All three are already in the plan, so charging you again for the side effect would be selling you the same work twice.
Does this replace Google SEO?
No. Most enquiries in this industry still come from Google search and Google Maps, and that is where the revenue is. AI answers are what you pick up on top when that work is done properly, not a replacement for it.
Will it actually bring me more leads and revenue?
It can, and it does. When your name comes up in an answer people click through to your site and enquire the same as they would from a search result, and those enquiries tend to land warm because something has just recommended you. What we will not do is sell it as its own lead source. Every one of those enquiries comes off the back of the local SEO, the content and the mentions you are already paying for, so it is extra revenue out of work you are doing anyway, not a new line on the invoice.
Is this what people mean by GEO?
Yes. Generative engine optimisation, or GEO, is the name that has stuck for it. We do not use it much because it makes it sound like a separate discipline with its own levers, and it isn't. It is good local SEO, good content and real mentions, described in newer language.
Are Irish homeowners really asking AI about solar?
Enough of them to matter. 42% of Irish internet users now use generative AI, according to the CSO. It is still a smaller share of enquiries than Google search, and we would not pretend otherwise. It is also growing, and the installers already named in those answers did not get there overnight.
Do I need new content for it?
Usually some, yes, and two kinds of it. The first answers a question plainly: what it costs, what the grant covers, how long it takes, whether it works on your kind of roof. The second is your service and area pages, because who are the best solar installers in Dublin is a question these tools answer too, and they can only name you if there is a page saying clearly what you do and where you do it. Both earn their keep in Google search as well, so it is not work done solely for AI tools like ChatGPT.

Ask ChatGPT who installs solar in your area. See if your business pops up.

If it doesn't, that's the conversation. A 30-minute call. No pitch, no pressure, just a chat.
