Nearly every installer I speak to has been through at least one of these.
None of it is unusual. It is what happens when marketing is sold by people who do not work in your industry and are not measured on your revenue.
I have spent six years on the other side of it. Agency work in Cork, in-house in Canada, then freelance. Long enough to form a clear view on how this work is best done. I do not believe you can spread yourself across a dozen industries and give any one of them your full attention, and I think the people who pick a lane are the ones worth hiring.
So SolarScale Digital does one thing, for one industry, and is measured on installs.
I studied Commerce at UCC, followed by a Master’s in Food Marketing, and spent two years as a sales rep for food companies before moving into digital marketing.
Since 2020 I have worked in digital marketing full time, and in 2026 I founded SolarScale Digital. Irish solar installers are nowhere near their potential online, and I would rather spend my time fixing that than spread myself across a dozen industries and never properly understand a client’s business.
